ABOUT
Marla Anderson is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified School Counselor, and EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist. She earned her Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University–Commerce and has dedicated more than 25 years to supporting children and adolescents within the education system. During her career, she also spent seven years working with gifted and talented students. Marla provides counseling services for individuals, children, adolescents, families, and couples, offering compassionate support tailored to each client's unique needs. She is pleased to offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, an evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals heal from distressing life experiences. Anxiety, depression, anger, and difficulties with emotional regulation are often rooted in past experiences that have not been fully processed. EMDR helps the brain reprocess these experiences, reducing their emotional impact and helping clients break free from distressing symptoms and unhelpful behavior patterns. This powerful therapeutic approach promotes healing, resilience, and lasting positive change.
